Training in statistical downscaling using CPT at the Indonesian met service’s regional office (in coordination with Rizaldi Boer of Bogor Agricultural University); participants included: BMG staff from Kupang and Region III; topics covered: basic introduction to CPT and preparation by IPB and BMG for an experimental downscaled forecast for NTT, focused on the critical monsoon onset period (a demonstration of the potential types of climate information that could be developed and integrated into the decision process.
