Lisa Goddard named Chair of U.S. CLIVAR Scientific Steering
P10000201
Committee
IRI research scientist, Lisa Goddard, is the new chair of the prestigious Scientific Steering Committee of the U.S. Climate Variability and Predictability Research Program. The project is the U.S.'s contribution to the International Climate Variability and Predictability Research Program, which works within the larger structure of the World Climate Research Programme to predict climate variations on a range of time scales and refinement of estimates of anthropogenic climate change. As a member of the steering committee, Lisa will work with three other panels to guide and implement the program in climate predictability and prediction, process and model improvement, phenomena, observations and synthesis.
