Conclusion

In this talk the main properties of typhoons, hurricanes and tropical cyclones were presented. The relation of hurricanes/typhoons with ENSO was then described.

Some events in climate models can be described as model tropical cyclones, which have properties similar to real typhoons and hurricanes.

In the regions where ENSO has an important effect on hurricanes/typhoon, climate models can be used to obtain a probabilistic forecast of the frequency of hurricanes/typhoons on a season.
