This region has very high mean temperatures, with
maximum reaching during summer over 30C,. Minimum temperatures are
found in July. Only in July there is a small probability of reaching temperatures
below zero. Spring temperatures are higher than autumn temperatures. This
is caused by the small amount of cloudiness in late winter and sting coinciding
with the end of the dry season, so that temperatures repond rapidly to
the increasing intensity of solar radiation. This quick rise in temperatures
is the reason for the early formation of the low-pressure over El Chaco.
The winds resulting from the low are northerly and bring with them moisture
