Selected Satellite Information
The payouts for the HARITA project are determined using the
NOAA ARC satellite estimate of rainfall.
The link below is to an IRI Data Library graphical animation that allows you to select ARC satellite rainfall estimates for different locations and time periods for downloads or plots--it may take a moment or two to prepare the data for viewing:
Data library ARC animation/selection
The direct link to the data library is http://iridl.ldeo.columbia.edu/
Below is an example of a direct link to get ARC data in a form that can be immediately used in a spreadsheet. Below is a link to download the daily ARC rainfall data for Adi Ha.
Clicking on the link you will be able to download a table.
If you are very technically oriented, you can modify the x and y coordinates in the url listed in your web-browser to download data for other locations.
There may be a delay as the data is prepared

The IRI data library automatially downloads and formats this information from the official source at:

We have othe links to vegetative indexes at the IRI data library.
The AVHRR NDVIg vegetative index is perhaps the most popular vegetative satellite product.
Click on the link below to see a map-based selection for
AVHRR NDVI measurements since 1981.

MODIS is a more modern satellite that also has a very popular NDVI product.
The data library link below has a map-based selection tool for this data.
