Both crops are sensitive to climate variations
and change. Therefore, impact studies, mitigation options and
adpatation measures are needed to cope with climate variability and
adapt to climate change.
This project is a collaborative effort of
Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of
Science (SLAAS), Coconut Research Institute , Department of
Meteorology , University of Peradeniya and Natural Resources
Management Services of the Mahaweli Authority of Sri Lanka and the
International Research Institute for climate prediction
(IRI).
