PhD degree in Physical Oceanography, February 1987, with thesis: Interpretation
of equatorial current meter data as internal waves, supervised by Professor
Charles C. Eriksen.
The thesis shows that the PEQUOD moored array data are statistically
inconsistent with simple internal wave models such as Garrett and Munk. It then constructs physically more sophisticated models
that fit significantly better.
The thesis reviews experimental tests of the EPR paradox and attempts to
construct a localized quantum-mechanical model.
