Climate and Environmental Monitoring Research
The primary goal of Climate and Environmental Monitoring Research is to
insure up-to-date and comprehensive real-time climate monitoring. This
goal is achieved by providing analyses of recent climate anomalies,
diagnoses of physical mechanisms associated with climate anomalies, and
analyses that place current climate anomalies in historical context.
This effort is also facilitated by the development of climate and
environmental data and analysis tools and climate and vulnerability
indices for use in conjunction with seasonal forecasts.
